| Obituary of ROBERT J. "BOB" GEIS |
| Robert J. "Bob" Geis, 74, retired farmer
and stockman, died Jan. 10 at St. Luke Hospital, Marion. Services were held Jan. 14 at First Baptist Church, Durham, with Leon Hayen officiating. A private family burial was held at the Marion Cemetery. He was born June 18, 1925, to Jacob J. and Pauline Lauffer-Geis in Durham. On July 31, 1955, he was married to Marilyn Hayen, who survives him. Survivors include sons, Dale of Marion and Wayne of Durham; a sister, Wilma Regier of Marion; and six grandchildren. A memorial fund has been established for First Baptist Church, Durham. |
