Obituary of SARA F. PLENERT
Sara F. Plenert, 86, homemaker and owner/operator of the Lehigh Cafe and cook at Bethel College and Meadowlark at Newton, died Jan. 17 at The Cedars Health Care Center, McPherson.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m., Jan. 20, at the Lehigh Cemetery. A memorial service follows at 3 p.m. at First Mennonite Church, McPherson, with Revs. Neil Amstutz and Chris Whitacre officiating. Burial was at Lehigh Cemetery.

She was born Oct. 15, 1913 to G.E. Epp and Cornelia Friesen in rural Lehigh. 
On Oct. 11, 1945, she was married to Arnold A. Plenert, who predeceased her.

Survivors include daughters, Arnette Duerksen and Sarita Duerksen, both of McPherson; stepsons, Vernon A. of Buhler and Lloyd of Stillwell; a stepdaughter, Evelyn Ewert of Canton; a brother, Paul Epp of Newton; 15 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Memorial funds have been established for First Mennonite Church and The Cedars Health Care Center.
