Obituary of ULA B. BELTZ
Ula B. Beltz, 90, Salina, died Oct. 29, 2000, at Salina Regional Health Center. 
She was born March 23, 1910, near Hope, the daughter of Joseph and Lydia Rhodes Hoffman. 
She attended local schools and graduated from Herington High School. 
She married Theodore Beltz on March 1, 1934, in the College Hill community. The couple farmed in the Ramona area for 50 years. 
She moved to Abilene in 1984 and then to Salina in 1984. 
She had worked for the Ramona Telephone Switchboard, the Lutheran Home in Herington, and for USD 481 in food service. She was a former member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Ramona, a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Salina, and a lifetime member of LWML and EHU. 
She is survived by two sons, Ted and wife Diane Beltz of Albuquerque, N.M., and Duane Beltz and Ronda Thomas of Ramona; three daughters, Lula Van Horn and husband Ernie and Phyllis Beisel and husband Dal, all of Salina, and Connie Beltz of Austin, Texas; three sisters, Evelyn Bielefeld and Grace Spicer of Abilene and Alice McIntosh of Jenks, Okla.; 19 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. 
She was preceded in death by her husband Theodore in 1974, two sisters, one brother, and three grandchildren. 
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Salina, with the Rev. Charles Adams and the Rev. Robert Schaedel officiating. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church Cemetery, Ramona. 
Memorials have been established in her name with Trinity Lutheran Church Building Fund or the donor's choice, in care of Carlson-Becker Funeral Home, Solomon KS.
