My Grandfather is Roy C. BARRIE with origins in Kansas, possibly Marion County. He had two sisters and I think (based on not much more than conjecture) that they were Minnie and Helen. Roy C. BARRIE died of TB in the 1940's in Montana. He was a railroad worker. His two sons, Charles F., and Robert Douglas were born in Montana in the 1915-1917 time frame, so I suspect he may have been born in the early 1890s. His remains were sent back to his sisters in Kansas for burial. I suspect they were in Marion County. I believe Minnie married a C. J. VOLTZ in September 1910. World War I death records show a Clyde VOLTZ died in the Army in 1918. I can't fid any further record of Minnie. Helen BARRIE married a Floyd STUCK on 8 August 1912. I can find no other reference to her after that point. However, later marriage records show a Floyd STUCK married a Leatha SMITH on 17 October 1917. I have no idea if Helen had died or if this is even the same Floyd STUCK. I'm really looking for background on Roy C. BARRIE and where he may have been from before Kansas, and who his parents might have been. Is there a records lookup contact in Marion County that I can contact for burial/cemetery, or even earlier birth records? Since the marriages of Minnie and Helen were registered in Marion County, might those original records show parents? --------------------------------------------------- BOWER...STAFFORD Keith Bower (at_home_online@msn.com) 27 December 2001 Looking for links from my Great-Grandfather, George Bruce BOWER and his wife Addie (sp?) Who were these relatives that they came to meet? This was a very important trip as they left their son, William Henry WOLF to help out. He stayed for a while then went back to Burnett County, Texas. I figured that the relatives could have come from one of several counties surrounding Antelope, I hope somebody knows which family they came to visit.
