Four sons were born here: Wesley Oscar LEVAGOOD, b: 26 Jul 1881 Harry Oliver LEVAGOOD, b: 8 Aug 1883 Ira Delbert LEVAGOOD b: 11 Nov 1885 (my grandfather) Ervin Roy LEVAGOOD b: 19 Jul 1888 They left Kansas in 1897 to claim homestead land @ Didsbury, Alberta, Canada. This information comes from the old family bible brought up with them in 1899. Would be interested in finding copies of birth certificates or land titles which may exist. Edward's father in law was James BOLTON -the BOLTON's are also shown in Butler County. ----------------------------------------- KLIEWER...FOTH/VOTH Ray Kliewer (rhmlk1950@usadatanet.net) 4 November 2006 Is their a record of Jacob KLIEWER and wife Julianna (VOTH or FOTH) living in Marion County, Kansas between 1878 to about 1898? They had eight children born in Marion County. They moved to Fairview, Territory of Oklahoma at about 1896 or 1898. ----------------------------------------- NONKEN...KELLER...UPDEGRAF Marilyn Pritchard (tellingu@hotmail.com) 2 November 2006 I am researching the about family names and would love any information you have about them. ----------------------------------------- NOVAK Susan Knauff (elias.meder@gmail.com) 18 September 2006 Looking for more information; can provide some photos of Joseph NOVAK and family 1870, 1880 whose descendants settled in Marion and Nemaha counties. Thanks! ----------------------------------------- WATCHOSKE/WATCHCOSKE Rosie Young (rosie.l.young@iibltd.com) 7 September 2006 I am trying to local burials in Marion County near Aulne. My Great-Grandparents on the WATCHOSKE side are buried next to a Catholic Church near Aulne. But I need directions. ----------------------------------------- PANNICK...ROSS...YEARIAN Ilga Ross (ilgaross@yahoo.com) 5 September 2006 Want to locate burial place of Great-Great-Grandmother Lydia (YEARIAN) ROSS (b. 1838 OH). Family info has d: 1918 buried in Hillsboro, Kansas. She may have divorced and remarried (abt. 1885) to John PANNICK (b. 1847 IL). Cemetery info or obituary on PANNICK family would help. ----------------------------------------- HOFFMAN...MEIER Karen Jenkins (karenjenkins.5@comcast.net) 16 August 2006 These are surnames of my Great-Grandparents who immigrated from Russia abt 1887 to '89 to Marion County Kansas, but would like to verify with naturalization records. I would also like to find out if they owned land in Marion County, and to contact other descendents especially from the MEIER line. We have very little info on Fred MEIER and wife Marie CLAUSER from Dietel, Saratov Province, Russia. Thank you very much! ----------------------------------------- CUBBAGE...BURNS Vicky Drake (dvicky@cox.net) 3 August 2006 William and Frances Hazel CUBBAGE and most of their family migrated "to Kansas" from Page County, Virginia in 1883/1884. I have found an obituary for Frances CUBBAGE in Page County suggesting that she died 16 September 1885 in Marion, Kansas. From other people's genealogy research in appears that one of Frances's daughters (Salome (CUBBAGE) BURNS) died in childbirth in Marion in 1886. I live in Arizona and am planning a wild genealogy trip through Kansas next month. These ladies were reported to be buried in Marion, I have no idea what cemetery they might be in. Does the town of Marion have a number of cemeteries associated with it or (if I've been really good) is there a single cemetery in Marion? Does anyone know if there were newspapers in the late 1880's and if so are they on microfilm would the microfilms be available locally? ----------------------------------------- BRUMBAUGH Jerry Brumbaugh (jbrumbaugh@cox.net) 2 July 2006 1900 Census (SD 4 ED#89 pg 2 Fairplay Township) Nancy BRUMBAUGH is head of household. 1880 census (SD 2 ED#149 pg 16 Center Township) she appears in William BRUMBAUGH, her husband, house hold. Have searched for a long time for death, obit, burial location to no avail. Nancy is buried at Clements Cemetery near their son Jacob. Would appreciate any information for either relative, especially William.
