Query Surnames: Glass

Date: 9 Aug 2000

Query: I am researching my great-grandfather, Jacob C. Glass. I do not know his birthdate but I think it is around 1843 and he died September 15, 1876, in Fontana, Miami Co, KS. He was married to Esther (Heintz) Glass at the time of his death. They had three children by the name of George Edward, Charles P. and Bertha. He is buried in the Fontana Cemetery. I would like to know his birth date, his parents and any siblings that he might have had. He served in the civil war in Co. D, 29th Ohio, and enlisted in 1861 and served for the union.
