Query: I am looking for info on my great great grandfather, Melville Olin Webb, born 27 July 1847 in Waldoboro Maine, married Anne Margaret Fullerton in Maine. They came to Ottawa, but died in Osawatomie, Miami County, 19 Aug 1899. He supposidly worked for a railroad. I can't find him in any censuses or anywhere I have looked. I am ordering Osawatomie Graphic newspaper for death date hoping to find his obituary.

Query: I'm trying to sort out the family of a distant cousin, Daisy Violet (Larew) Jacobs/Bennett, daughter of John W. and Florence D. (Brown) Larew, who was born 9 March 1883 in Marion County, Iowa; married (1st) Frank Jacobs and (2nd) a Bennett; and died 22 November 1959 in Costa Mesa, Calif., upon which her body was returned to Osawatomie, Miami County, Kansas, for burial. She may have had as many as three Jacobs children, one of whom may have been named Dwight. Daisy was listed as Mrs. Frank Jacobs (no residence given) in her father's 1909 obituary and as Mrs. Daisy Bennett of Harris, Kansas, in her mother's 1936 obituary. I find three references of interest in Miami County indexes. In cemetery indexes: Jacobs, Daisy V., 203-V3, and Jacobs, Frank T., 203-V3. In records of Johnson's Funeral Home: Jacobs, Frank Talford, died 14 October 1931, age 61, buried Osawatomie.
