Death of Grandma Coons

Grandma Coons, aged 82, died of heart failure at her home six miles north of Coffeyville Sunday morning at six o'clock. The remains were interred in Elmwood cemetery Monday after- noon, which day would have been her 82nd birthday, and her friends were preparing to give a party in her honor, but death came very suddenly and without a moment's warning and instead of the birthday festivities, a great sorrow fills the hearts of the friends who knew and loved her. But to them as they follow the dear, beloved form to its last resting place, there is great consolation in the Christian hope, that she is safe in a land where tear, stain and heart ache can never enter; and that she has laid down life's burdens after a long and useful journey, to receive a full award.
