James Myers, aged 62 years, died Monday at his home near Morton, six miles northeast of Coffeyville, of kidney trouble. He had been ill for some time. The funeral was held at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the Methodist church in Coffeyville, Rev. Kelly conducting the services. Burial was in Fairview cemetery. Mr. Myers was one of the old settlers in the county and was widely known. He was an old soldier and was held in high esteem by all. He is mourned by his wife, a large family of grown children and by many friends. |
