This family had 3 children: William Albert b. 1859, John Andrew b. 1862, and Maria Elizabeth b. 1867. Nancy died in 1903 and is buried in Robbins Cemetery. When did Isaac die and where was he born? They had a flower shop in Caney. After he died in 1914, she went to the west coast. Did she ever remarry? Where did she die and where was she married? Maria Elizabeth (Libby) married William Henry ATKINSON in 1886 in Rutland, KS. They had 4 or 5 kids. The 1910 census shows them in Caney City with children Mary, Luther, and Elsie. I have not found them in any other census. Would like to find out anything more about this family and where they moved to, where they lived before 1910. Thanks, Emily Jordan 5/98

YOUNG I am seeking information about YOUNG brothers Adam, Earnest, Jacob, and Theodore, and their descendants who lived in Montgomery and Wilson counties, KS, from the 1870s. They came there from Germany via New Jersey. Their sons (including Charles, Phillip C., Samuel Augustus, William James, and others) resided in Barnes, Fredonia, Independence, Lay, Neodesha, and Sycamore. Philip (Phillip?) C. was a lawyer in Fredonia in 1905. He entered politics and died while campaigning for political office. His cousin, also named Philip C. was a lawyer in Barnes at the same time. A daughter, Mrs. George (Young ) Hill, was Iiving in Independence in 1938. William James Young was my grandfather. I don't know which one of the original Youngs was my great-grandfather, but I think it may have been Adam. I'd very much appreciate any information you could provide, and would be glad to reciprocate.Best wishes and kind regards, Jack Wood 2/98

ZWISSLER, Conrad and Sophia MESH were my g-gparents. Conrad was born in Germany in 1837 and Sophia was born in 1850 in Ohio. Sophia MESH's family moved to Kansas City, Kansas, in 1865. Conrad and Sophia Zwissler had 8 children: Henry, birthdate unknown; Mary Louise (my gma) 1874; Anna, 1877; Agnes, 1879; Clara, 1882; Catherine, 1884; Rose, 1886; Joseph Leo, 1889. They were in Missouri in 1884, and had moved to Kansas by 1886. They lived in Cherryvale on Depot Street and managed the Great Western Hotel. I think it's now called the Axtell Hotel. see also McGEE   Louise Mangan 6/98
