I believe that his older brother, James William COOK, b: 1831, his wife, Hannah, nee GODFREY, b: 1832 and their sons, James Godfrey, b: 1856, Henry, b: 1859, Charles, b: 1862, William, b: 1865, Frederick, b: 1868 and George, b: 1873 all emigrated to the USA. The 1880 USA census has James G. COOK, farmer at Elm Creek, Morris County, Kansas, together with wife, Eliza N., son Frederick (age 3m) and brother Henry. The rest of his family are still in Graffham in the 1881 census but have disappeared by 1891. I suspect that they all moved to the same area and I would be interested to know if any of their descendants still live there. ----------------------------------------------- LONG...HOUCK...HANNA bandclink@aol.com 30 November 2002 I am looking for information on the LONG's, HOUCK's, and HANNA's. They were near Wilsey or Council Grove, Kansas. Years would be from 1880 to 1920. Robert L. LONG married Mary A. HANNA in Council Grove in 1903. Leavenworth, Kansas on 16 September 1909 and passed away on 9 October 1909. I cannot find out where he was buried. Can anyone help or point me in the direction where I might get help? Mary, 46, wife, born in Prussia Emil, 21, son, single, stone mason, born in Indiana Charles, 20 Adolph, 18 Minnie, 16 Amelia, 14 Mary, 12 Rhineholt, 10 John, 8 Rosa, 6 All children born in Indiana. Emil married Nettie ANDERSON, daughter of Asa ANDERSON, found in same county, Valley Township of the 1880 census. MILLER (July 29, 1830 - February 14, 1899), born in Virginia, died in Morris County, Kansas; Son of Allen and Ann MILLER, married Mary Jane BRUCE (April 17, 1832 - June 25, 1909), born in Wythe County, Virginia and died in Morris County, Kansas; daughter of Isaiah BRUCE and Sarah "Sally" JUSTICE. Jacob and Mary were married in July 19, 1855 in Wythe County, Virginia. Jacob enlisted in the Civil War, May 3, 1862, Bland County, Virginia, Co. G., 36th VA Infantry. All their children were born in Virginia: Harriet (MILLER) JACOB; Jacob L/E MILLER; Howard I. (maybe Isaiah) MILLER; Lucillia B. (maybe BRUCE) MILLER; Bascon H. MILLER married Ollie PEERY. Lucillia and Bacon may have been twins. Would like information on Jacob and Mary's children and Jacob's parents. Will be more than happy to share the BRUCE family information.
