Obituary of SAMUEL STANFIELD |
SAMUEL STANFIELD PASSES AWAY Samuel Stanfield died this afternoon from the effects of the stroke of apoplexy which came upon him a week ago last Monday. The funeral services will be held from his late home, 1204 South Central avenue, at 4:30 o'clock tomorrow afternoon. Mr. Stanfield was stricken suddenly. He came down town on the morning of the attack, apparently in his usual health, and left for the home of his son, Wesley Stanfield, three miles south of the city. Upon his arrival there the stroke came upon him and he fell unconscious as he stepped from his conveyance. Last week his condition improved so that he was moved to town, that he might be nearer medical attendance. Wednesday, however, his condition grew worse, and it During the Civil war he was a soldier for the Union. |
