THE LARNED EAGLE-OPTIC, 29 April 1892 |
Obituary of ANNETTA A. MAR CUNNINGHAM |
Death of Mrs. Cunningham Died, at her residence in this city, Friday, April 22nd, 1892, Mrs. Annetta Mar Cunningham, aged forty-three years, eleven months and one day. The funeral services were held at her late residence on Sunday, April 24th, 1892, at two o’clock p.m., Rev. J. A. Bixler officiating. Mrs. Cunningham’s sickness dates back to last November, but it was only within the last few weeks that its fatal termination was looked for. She was born in Duncanville, Blair county, Pennsylvania, on May 21st, 1848. At the age of twenty-two years she was converted to the religion of Christ and at once identified herself with the Methodist church, in which faith she passed beyond the shores of time. Together with her family she has resided in Larned since June 3rd, 1885. She died with the blessed assurance that she was going “home,” and expressed a desire to meet all her friends in heaven. Mrs. Cunningham leaves a husband and two children, and a large circle of friends to mourn her death. The burial services Sunday afternoon attracted a very large gathering of people and it was one of the most largely attended funerals occurring in this city for some time. |
