Location: SW corner N1/2 SE1/4 Section 12-4-18 (Solomon Township). Located on the Ft. Hays - Ft. Kearney, North and South and on Pike's Peak Road which followed Deer Creek east and west. Shown on Gov. maps 1873 and 1877. Established 1870. Store, school, church, being a hamlet of some 50 people living there at one time. Postmasters: Cyrus POST, February 28, 1872; Leo FRY, February 6, 1873; Alexander SMITH, June 1874. Moved building and discontinued town about 1885 as told by the late I.C. McDOWELL.[1972]
