Anna Merritt's 90th Birthday
======================
Mrs. Anna Merritt and Mrs. Madeline Garretson will go to Bethel, Kansas, on Friday to visit
Mrs. Merritt's daughter, Mrs. J. G. Braecklein and Mr. Braecklein. Mrs. Merritt will celebrate
her 90th birthday there on Sunday. It is planned that the day will be spent quietly. Mrs.
Merritt was born in Linn County, Kansas, April 15, 1844, and has the distinction of being the
oldest living native Kansan. Mrs. Merritt has long been a resident of Wamego and her multitude
of friends extend to her their congratulations and kindest wishes on this happy occasion.
