I believe the girls' mother, Mary Ellen Parker lived at 1220 E. Ninth,
Hutchinson and that her mother was Mrs. Joe Socha (Katie) and may have died in
1979.

MERRILL
James Gillespie January 17, 2005
Looking for Malhon G MERRILL and family. Four children born
there between 1900 & 1910. Listed in the 1910 Hutchinson City Directory with
other MERRILL'S, apparently contractors, plasterers and painters. Listed with
A. Newton MERRILL and wife Orcelia B, Leon MERRILL, Fred W. MERRILL and wife
Eva L.
I have a group photo of the MERRILL brothers, but can not identify all of
them. Appreciate info on the family.

12 May 1865 in Booneville, Warwick County, Indiana USA. Died: Probably after
1955. He was still alive on his 90th birthday in Arlington, Reno County
Kansas. Wife: Dora A. Parker, Born 15 Aug 1871 in Illinion. Died in 1932. Has
3 daughters. Maude, Dezzie and Rachel. Any information would be appreciated.

Looking for any information on John R. MILLER, b. ca 1877-78
in Indiana. Father's name was James. Mother's name was Sarah J. (Graham)
Miller. Siblings were: Viola, Mary E., Sarah, and Hewey C. Miller. John
married Ada Unknown, had one child Zola, b. Reno Co. KS. ca 1904. This family
appears on the 1900, 1910, 1920, and 1930 Reno Co. KS Census.

We are looking for information on David A. Crockett, b. in Missouri about
1870, who lived in Reno Co., Kansas in 1910. He was employed at the state
reformatory as an engineer. Married to wife named Lena and at that time had
5 children, Clinton, David, Harvey, Pauline, and Fran (or Fern). Does
anyone have information on this family?

Seeking to fill in holes in family tree of Elias Washington Jordan’s 5
children: Florence C. Jordan, Herschel Val Jordan, Mary A. Jordan Soper,
Chloe Mary Jordan Borders, and May Jordan (Harder?). Especially need
obituary of Herschel V. Jordan about 192x. and his sister May Jordan
(Harder?) who supposedly died while in Oklahoma for Herschel’s funeral. I
would guess this made the papers if May still lived in Reno Co. at that
time.
Also seeking information on
Soper family. Mary A. Jordan m. Socrates J. Soper and had 8 children: Susie,
Ray J., Fred Lowe, Gale Raney, Herschel Vern, Elizabeth Faye, John M., and
Ethelyn Soper. Need marriages or obituaries for these children.

I am looking for a marriage date for Virgil Mackey Carpenter and Mary
Elizabeth Glasgow. I have been told that they married in Hutchinson, Reno
Co, Kansas.
Virgil came from Missouri and Mary
Elizabeth came from Texas.
I would also like to know how long
they were there before they met, if possible.
They are my GGrandparents.

I am searching for information on Myrtle Buser Rowland Railsback, she was
born May 1883 in Illinois and died June 1979, James Rowland I have no
information on him and also her last husband William Railsback. I do know
that she was a school teacher in Hutchinson, Reno, Kansas. Her father was
Atlee Maxwell Buser, he died in Hutchinson Nov 1935. Thanks,

Stephens (Stevens). He reportably died in Reno County (Hutchinson)
about 1926. He was born in Ohio in 1851. I have little else about him or his

died in Reno co. and is buried around there someplace. Any thing we learn

I am doing research on my WEAVER line and learned from the
1920 census that a possible ancestor, Ledford W. WEAVER, may have been in
prison there in Reno County in 1920. Can someone tell me if there is any
way to get a copy of his prison record and maybe the circumstances of his
imprisonment? Also, where he was tried and for what offense he was
committed? Thank you.

KS m1 30 Oct 1862 Clark Co., MO to Rebecca M. PHILLIPS, d/o Dana and Gratis
PHILLIPS; m2 1883 Myrtle AVERY. They lived in Salt Creek Twp. in 1880.
Children: George D., Golda, Etta May, Rebecca, Loid, Abner Floid, James
Harry, Julia Arnesa, Carry Priscilla, Amis, Merry Lewise, Oliver W., Lottie
M., and Grace O.
Julia married John Wesley CASTO on 13 Dec 1894 in Nickerson. They later
homesteaded in Garfield Co., Oklahoma Territory.

Looking for info on Ida E. (Black) and
Ben Fox. Her parents
were David and Mary Black. She was born around 1866 in PA. Had lived in
Rush county at first. Have found that she lived in Reno county in 1927.
Her father lived with them at the time fo his death. They are lited in
1930 census in Hutchinson. Have a possible lead on an obit, from Dec
1963, of death of Mrs. John F. Winder 92 , Thanks Cindy, Any info is

BUSSING

I am trying to see if a James G. and Eliza Bussing lived in Reno
County anytime between 1884 and 1898. I visited Reno County about two
years ago, and went to the library and Courthouse to search for my
ancestors. I found a death record at the courthouse that said she died
there in Jan of 1890, and was buried in Lincoln Township.
