Leland O. Alexander

Leland O. Alexander, 65, of 728 East C, died May 2, 1982, at Halstead Hospital, Halstead, after a short illness. Born Oct. 17, 1916, at Sedalia, Mo., he married Yoshiko Sato in Yokosuka, Japan. He had been retired from the Navy since 1963 and was a Hutchinson resident for 18 years.

He was a Baptist and veteran of World War II.

Survivors: Widow, of the home; sons, Donald R., 108 George; Nodee, 2414 Rambler; daughter, Ruth Helsel, Winfield; mother, Olive, Concordia, Mo; sister, Stella Damon, Cowgill, Mo.; nine grandchildren.

Funeral will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Johnson and Sons Memorial Chapel, Hutchinson; the Rev. Robert Helsel. Burial at Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson,. Friends may call from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. Monday at the chapel. Memorials to American Heart Association.
