"Charles E. Burns
Charles E. Burns, 75, RFD 1, died early Friday morning at Broadacres after an illness of three years. He was born Oct. 17, 1885, in Reno County, and was a retired city street department employee. Survivors are a son, Samuel, Los Angeles; three sisters, Mrs. Esther Gregory, 202 East 1st; Mrs. Henry Hale and Mrs. Joe Demuth, Cherokee, Okla.; two brothers, Schuyler C., 201 East F; and Jasper, Kent, Wash. Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Johnson and Sons Chapel, Rev. William R. Stephens officiating, with burial in Eastside Cemetery."
