FUNERAL OF JOHN
COPPAGE
Was Held at
Langdon Yesterday- - Lived Here for Twenty Years
The funeral of
the late John Y. Coppage of Langdon occurred at that place yesterday. The
deceased was 82 years of age and for the last twenty years has been a
resident of Langdon, where he was conducting a general store at the time of
his death. He has been in the mercantile business in Kansas for over thirty
years, and before coming here had a store in Jefferson county for several
years.
He was the
father of Robert Coppage, a Reno county boy who is now a teacher in the
state university at Lawrence.
NOTE: The
name is usually spelled Coppedge and is spelled that way on his tombstone in
the Langdon Maple Hill Cemetery
