Mary M. Hickman Obituary Obituary MARY M. HICKMAN Mary M. Huddleston was born at Oak Hill, West Virginia, April 27, 1844, and was married to John Hickman December 10, 1868. To this union was born six children, two of whom have preceded her to the better world. She moved her family from West Virginia to Kansas in 1882, living in the eastern part of the State for sixteen months, moving from there to the farm five miles south of Sterling, where she died March 15, 1901, her age being 56 years, 10 months, and 18 days. She was a praying woman from early life, and happy to the end in her knowledge of peace with God. The immediate cause of her death was paralysis. She had a stroke some months ago, and another one last Tuesday. The funeral service was held at the home last Saturday, and the remains laid
away in Cottonwood Cemetery. Rev. W. L. Hinshaw conducted the services.
