Mrs. Caroline Luecke
Mrs. Caroline Zimmerman Luecke, 72, died this
morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Gertrude Morgan at 121 Eleventh
Ave. west. The funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 2:30
oclock from the Zion Lutheran church with Rev. Schaub in charge.
Mrs. Luecke was born in Germany in 1858 and came
with her parents to the United States when 10 years of age, settling in
Illinois. They moved to Kansas several years later. She was married in
1878 to John C. Luecke and to this union one child was born, Mrs. Gerturde
Morgan. She was a member of the Zion Lutheran church and was a great lover
of little children.
She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Morgan, a
granddaughter, Mrs. Richard Black, both of this city and two sisters, Mrs.
Henry Eachman of McPherson and Mrs. George Zimmerman of Rochelle, Illinois.
