Information on Rosehill and Union Cemeteries was put together by Jane Campbell Maddy. You may obtain a copy of the full information from Ms. Maddy by e-mailing her. She has a book that she has written with the names, birth dates, death dates, lot/block #s and a layout of the cemetery available for purchase at a very nominal fee. Jane Campbell Maddy was born, brought up in and still lives in Wayne, Kansas. Her ancestry goes back to Charles Allen Campbell and James G. Tuthill and her knowledge of the people and history of the Grant Township area (and surrounding areas) is astounding. You may want to contact her for help with your research.

ROSEHILL CEMETERY (Grant Township, Republic County) is a Swedish Cemetery located in the northwest corner of the northeast 160 acres of Section 17, approximately 1 mile west/southwest of Wayne, Kansas. The majority of people buried at Rosehill Cemetery were born in the 1800s (1805 earliest birthdate) and many are the ancestors of Patricia Adams (E-Mail at top of page).
