L.E., Farmer and Stockraiser, Chillicothe, Missouri.  Settled in County 1907.  Native of Missouri.  This land is located in Sections 16 and 17, Township 17 south, Range 32 West.  This farm contains 480 acres,  of which 220 acres are in cultivation and the rest can be cultivated.  The improvements consist of an eight room house, barn 30 X 50 and a well.

MARKER, W.H., Stockman and Farmer, Scott City.  Settled in the county in 1894.  Native of Indiana.  This farm is located in Section 14, Township 17 South, Range 32 West, and contains 160 acres, 90 acres of which are under cultivation.  The remainder of the land may be cultivated  [next word illegible].  The improvements are a four room frame house, barn 16 X 24, granary 12 X 20 and a well.

MOTT, LILLIE J., Scott City. Settled in County in 1909.  Native of Nebraska.  This farm is located in Section 24, Township 19 South, range 33 West, and contains 160 acres, of which 100 acres are under cultivation.  The improvements consist of a frame house 30 X 40 and stable 48 X 48.  Farm is fenced and cross fenced.  LEWIS VAUGHAN, lessee.

MACEY, E.A. & A.B., Farmers, Scott City.  Settled in County in 1910.  Natives of Indiana.  This farm is located in Section 36, Township 17 south, Range 33 WEst, the south-east quarter.  This farm contains 160 acres and 100 acres are under cultivation.  Irrigates well and is all level land.  House is 14 X 16, well and windmill.  Barn 50 X 60.

ZELINDA, Farmer, Scott City.  Settled in county in 1910.  Native of Indiana.  This farm, located in Section 1, Township 19 South, Range 33 West, contains 160 acres.  It is all in cultivation and has 90 acres of alfalfa.  It is all fine tillable land and heavy sandy soil.  15 to 23 feet to water.

MILLER, J.M., Farmer, Steam Farming and Threshing Outfit, Scott City.  Settled in County in 1906.  Native of Wisconsin.  This farm, located in Sections 2 and 3, Township 16 South, Range 33 West, contains 160 acres, and has 100 acres under cultivation.  It is all plow land except 15 acres.  The improvements consist of a frame house 16 X 32, barn, granary and cement cave, well and windmill.

METZGER, CHARLES & JOSEPHINE, Farmers and Ranchers, Scott City.  Settled in County in 1887.  Native of Indiana.  This farm, located in Sections 27 and 28, Township 17 south, Range 33 West, contains 400 acres, of which 25 acres are unfit for cultivation.  The improvements consist of two houses of five rooms, two barns, 30 X 34 and one 14 X 16, and granary 12 X 14, and two wells.

MUSSELMAN, W.A., Farmer and Stockman, Manning.  Settled in county in 1904.  Native of Missouri.  This farm, located in Section 36, Township 16 South, Range 32 West, contains 160 acres, of which 100 acres are under cultivation.  It is all fenced and all level land.  Has a three room sod house, barn 14 X 24 and on 14 X 32, and a well.

MURPHEY, F.H., Farmer, Scott City.  Settled in county 1903.  Native of Ohio.  this farm, located in Sections 5 and 8, in Township 20 South, Range 32 West, contains 320 acres, all fenced, an there are 220 acres in cultivation.  Improvements consist of a frame house 14 X 32, barn and a well.

MOHLER, F.H., Farmer, Scott City.  Settled in county 1886.  Native of Iowa.  This land is located in Sections 18, 20, 21, and 28, Township 19 South, Range 32 West, Scott County.  It contains 1,588 acres, and can be put in cultivation.  Has a frame house 32 X 40, stable 50 X 60, and a well.

MORRIS J.B., Editor and Publisher of "The Scott Republican," Scott City, Scott County, Kansas.  Settles in County 1906.  Native of Missouri.  He is also postmaster.

McGILL, W.H., Harness and Shoe Repair Shop, Scott City.  Settled in County in 1887.  Native of Kansas.

 McMILLAN, C.E., Farmer and Stockman, Scott City.  Settled in County 1910.  Native of Illinois.  This land is located in Section 2, Township 17 south, Range 33 West, Scott County, and this farm, which contains 240 acres, is known as the "Beaver County Ranch."  There are 155 acres under cultivation, 35 unfit for cultivation and the ranch is well watered by a creek.  The improvements consist of a three room frame house, barn 16 X 60 and shed 16 X 32, and a well.

McCLINTOCK, W.T., Farmer and Rancher, Peoria, Ill.  Settled in County 1900.  Native of Illinois.  This farm contains 320 acres, all good, level land and fenced, and it is located in Section 21, Township 18 South, Range 31 West.

McINTURFF, MRS. F.L., Farmer and Stock Raising, Scott city.  Settled in county in 1902.  Native of Missouri.  This farm, located in Sections 23, 24, 25, and 26, Township 17 south, Range 33 West, contains 1,440 acres, all good plow land.  The improvements consist of a two room frame house, barn 40 X 60, good corrals and granaries.  W.M. NEUENSCHWANDER, C., Farmer, Friend.  Came to County in 1908.  Native of Iowa.  Section 8, Township 20 South, Range 32 West.  Frame house and barn.  140 acres in cultivation, watered by a well.

NELSON, J.P., Farmer, Scott City. Settled in County 1898.  Native of Amer.  This farm is located in Section 20, Township 17 South, Range 31 West and contains 160 acres, of which there are 80 acres in cultivation.  And it is all good farming land.  The improvements consist of a three room house, stable 14 X 16 and a well.

NEWELL, S.A., Farmer and Stockman, Scott City.  Settled in County 1904.  Native of Kentucky.  This farm is located in Section 19, Township 17 South, Range 32 West.  It contains 105.04 acres and 130 acres of it are in cultivation, and all is level and tillable.  Has a two room house, barn, granary and well.

NEESE, IDA, Housekeeper, Scott City.  Settled in County 1901.  This farm located in Section 2, Township 18 South, Range 32 West, contains 160 acres, of which 80 acres are in cultivation.  All level with dark heavy soil.

(*the ??'s were on the list), Township 17 south, Range 31 West, Scott County.  Settled in County 1910.  Native of Illinois.  this farm contains 605.08 acres and is all in cultivation.  The improvements consist of one four room house and one three room house, good stable and outbuildings and two wells.

PARTINGTON, J.W., Farmer, Scott City.  Section 36, Township 17 South, Range 32 West.  Settled in County in 1886.  Native of Ohio.  308 acres in farm and all fenced and tillable.  Has a five room frame house, stable 20 X 40 and good shed and hen house and a well.

RODGERS, W.H., Farmer and Stockman, Scott City. Section 19, township 17 South, Range 32 West.  Settled in County 1905.  Native of Kansas.  This farm contains 160 acres and has 80 acres in cultivation and is all level.  Has a four room sod house, barn 14 X 35 and a well.

Has seven room frame house, barn 50 X 66, granary 28 X 36 and three wells.

SMITH, J.W., Farmer and Stockman, Scott City.  Settled in County 1908.  Native of Missouri.  this farm, located in Sections 9 and 16, Township 18 South and Range 33 West, contains 2,080 acres and there are 640 acres in cultivation.  Known as the "Box Elder Stock Ranch."  There is a six room farm house, barn 40 X 60 and one 45 X 65, two granaries, 10 X 32 and 12 X 32, and three wells. All fenced.

SHULZ, F.W., Ranchman, Scott City.  Settled in County 1893.  This ranch is located in Sections 6,7, 16, 17, 18 and 29, Township 20 South, Range 31 West, and contains 2,318 acres, 150 of it being in alfalfa.  There is a house 22 X 28 and barn 22 X 56.  Well.

SHEARMIRE, P.O., Farmer and Ry. Boss, Modoc.  Settled in County 1898.  Native of Germany.   This farm, located in Sections 15 and 21, Township 18 South, Range 34 West, contains 320 acres.  Has a six room house (frame), barn and granary 28 X 36 and three wells.

SHANK, J.J., Farmer, Grigsby.  Settled in County 1908.  Native of Missouri.  This farm, located in Section 2, Township 20 South, Range 31 West, contains 160 acres and 80 of it in pasture.  There is a two room sod house, frame barn and a well.

STRICKERT, C.F.W., Farmer and Ranchman, Scott City.  Settled in County 1888.  Native of canada.  This farm, located in Sections 36 and 1, Township 18 south, Range 19 West, and known as "City View Ranch," contains 879.06 acres, of which 400 acres are in cultivation.  Improvements consist of a seven room frame building, barn 40 X 62, granary, cow shed and chicken house, and three wells.

STRICKERT, FRED W., Rancher and Boiler-maker, Denver, Colo.  Settled in County 1888.  Native of Canada.  This farm, located in Sections 2 and 35, Townships 18 and 19 South, Range 32 West, Scott County, contains 799.08 acres, of which 320 acres are in cultivation, and it is all fenced and all good alfalfa land.

STRICKERT, MRS. FRED, Farmer and Ranchman, Scott City.  Settled in county 1893.  Native of Canada. This farm is located in Sections 11 and 12, Township 19 South, Range 32 West.  It contains 1,400 acres, and there are 300 acres in cultivation. All of it is level tillable land.  There is a ten room frame house, barn 40 X 44 and three wells.

STEELE, HERBERT L., Farmer and Rancher, Scott City.  Settled in County 1887.  Native of New York.  This farm is located in Sections 8, 12, 13 and 17, Township 16 South. Ranges 32 and 33, and contains 800 acres of land and there are 25 acres in alfalfa, 50 in cultivation and 200 unfit for cultivation.  Watered by creek and springs.  Has a five room stone house, barn 18 X 62.

F., Farmer and Ranchman, Scott City.  Settled in County 1886.  This land is located in Sections 4,5,8,9, 16 and 17, Township 19 South, Range 32 West.  This farm contains 2,880 acres and it is all level land and all fenced.  Has a seven room frame house and two barns, one barn 50 X 54 and one 20 X 50; and a granary 15 X 20 and two wells.

STATES, J.L., Farmer and Stockman, Manning.  Settled in county in 1884.  Native of Iowa.  This farm is located in Section 6, Township 17, Range 31 West., and contains 160 acres, of which 80 acres are in cultivation.  It is all level tillable land and fenced.  There is a six room frame house, barn 24 X 48 and granary and chicken house.  Well 147 feet.

TAYLOR, D.H., Farmer and Stockman, Scott City.  Settled in County in 1905.  Native of Virginia.  This farm, which contains 160 acres, is located in Section 34, Township 16 South, Range 32 West.  There are 100 acres in cultivation and 50 unfit for cultivation.  There is a three room sod house, stable, shed and granary and the whole place is fenced.
 

TAYLOR, E.M., Farmer, Scott City.  Settled in County in 1887.  Native of Georgia.  This farm is located in Sections 17 and 18, Township 21 South, Range 32 West, and contains 880 acres, of which there are 160 acres in cultivation and 600 fruit trees.  There is a frame house 12 X 32, stable 16 X 40 and a well.

TAYLOR, J.W., Farmer and Stockman, and Steam Threshing, Modoc.  This land is located in Sections 10 and 16, township 17 South, Range 34 West, and contains 320 acres, of which 200 are in cultivation.  This man is a native of Missouri and settled in the County in 1903.  There is a one room sod house, barn 20 X 30 and a well.
