Hatton, Charles...Born May 18, 1849 in Hillsdale, Michigan. Moved to Wichita in 1872. He
was Assistant U.S. Attorney for the District of Kansas, under the administrations of
Presidents Garfield and Arthur, and during the first term of President Cleveland. City
Attorney of Wichita for six years, also on the legal staff of the Santa Fe Railroad.
He was a Republican in politics, active but never aspired to office. He was a member of
the B.P.O.E., Knights of Pythias and the Grand Army of the Republic.
While residing in Wichita, Charles and his wife Louisa had six children. Charles and
Louisa with their two youngest daughters moved to Nevada in 1905.

Wichita City Directory shows in 1906 Marie was working as a domestic at 1217 East Murdock.
She disappears from the Directory after that date. Any help appreciated.

Rose (Brunk) Gaines. Della died in 1933 and Raymond LeRoy was adopted out to a family

He was living on Eagle St., along with his wife Ella 42, sons Eugene 17, Fred A. 14, Frank
E. 10 and Lewis E. 7. Lewis was born in Couty Kerry, Castlegregory, Ireland and came to
this county with his father and mother Patrick and Margaret Lynch about the year 1865. He
is the brother of my gggrandfather Thomas and I would like to have his date of death.
Also, trying to locate someone who might have know what happened to the Lynchs who were in

burial although there is a stone. I highly suspect that she is actually buried out there,

Her Father: Frankie T. Parker...born in Carney, OK April 16, 1880
That’s all I have, except the report that the Rummerys have been in the
Wichita/Sedwick County area since the beginning of the century.

I am searching for ROUTH descendents in Sedgwick Co. Francis "Marion" ROUTH
(1849-1923) and Amanda Jane ROBBINS (1854-1886) had eight children: John W. ROUTH
(1871-1953). Landen "Pete" ROUTH (1872-1937). Charles E. ROUTH (1873-1932). Ida
ROUTH (1877-1944). Elizabeth L. ROUTH (1878-1939). James A. ROUTH (1880). Jacob ROUTH
(1883-1954). James Proctor DRAKE (1886-1974), adopted last name changed from ROUTH to
DRAKE. After Amanda’s death, Marion married (2nd) Frances May MILLER (1862-1955) and
they had seven children: Bert E. ROUTH (1889-1974). Alma ROUTH (1890-?). Walter ROUTH
(1891-?). Clyde ROUTH (1893-?). Howard ROUTH (1894-1946). Hobert ROUTH (1897-1918). Elsie
ROUTH (1899-?). Any information on the descendents of these families would be greatly
appreciated.

BARNHART,
Letter of 1919 from Wichita brother of Lucy Florence Barnhart 1869-1961 asks the family to
seriously consider moving to Wichita from Branson/Kirbyville Mo. Have need to contact and
research Barnhart line. Lucy married three times Jack VanZandt, Solomon Linzey or Lindsay
and Joel Johnson. This could be the start of a whole other country!
