Mr. Gardiner is a member of the Shrine, the Consistory, the Wichita Club, and is a member of the Pioneer Society. GARDINER, Mr. Sam L. 1717 Park Place. Miss Mary Temple was Mrs. Garst's name before marriage. She was a student at Downer College, and studied music, specializing in piano music, in which she is much interested. Mr. Garst went to Fairmount. He was in service at Camp McArthur during the war. He is a member of the Wichita, the Kiwanis, and the Crestview Country Clubs. Mr. and Mrs. Garst have one of the best Ardales in the city. They call him "Sandy." GEE, Mr. and Mrs. Harry 128 Circle Drive. Mrs. Gee was Miss Josephine Kittredge before her marriage and her home was Chicago. She was graduated from Washington University. Mr. Gee belongs to the Country, the Wichita, and the Kiwanis Clubs. Mr. Gee plays golf. He is a graduate of Yale. Their son Harry went to the Kent School in Connecticut and Edward is a student at Fairmount where he is a Webster Society member. GELBACH, Mr. and Mrs. G. W. 241 Yale Avenue. Before her marriage Mrs. Gelbach was Miss Daisy Macbeth of Carlisle, Pennsylvania. She studied at the Central Normal of Pennsylvania. Mr. Gelbach attended Oberlin College. Their son, George Jr., is at the Edgewood Arsenal. Lucille is studying music at Mt. Carmel. Dorothy, Margaret Macbeth, and Mary Catherine are at home. Mrs. B. H. He is a member of the Chamber of Commerce. Miss Marie went to the Morse School of Expression, and was graduated from the Wichita College of Music in expression. GILKERSON, Mr. and Mrs. H. B. 214 north Hillside Avenue. Mrs. Gilkerson (Miss Susan Sweet) attended Pennington Seminary. She is a member of the A. C. A., the Twentieth Century Club, and the College Hill Delphian. Mrs. Gill (Miss Millie Small) was an Alpha Tau Sigma at Fairmount, and is a Lambda and an Eastern Star. She loves music. Mr. Gill also attended Fairmount and was an Alpha Omega. She does a great deal of charity work. Reading is her especial pleasure. Mr. Goldsmith is a member of the Wichita Club. Mrs. Gordon lived in Leavenworth before her marriage, and was Miss Emma McConkey. She is a member of the League of Women Voters and the Saturday Afternoon Musical Club. Mr. Gordon has membership in the Wichita and Country Clubs. GOSSARD, Mr. Hampton Mr. Gossard makes his home with his aunt, Mrs. J. O. Davidson, at 935 North Lawrence. He saw service on the Mexican border, and in France. He was a sergeant in Company L, with the 35th Division. GRAHAM, Mr. and Mrs. Will 851 North Hillside Avenue. Kansas City was Mrs. Graham's home, and her name was Miss Edna O'Dell. She belongs to the Chartered Missouri Society. Mr. Graham is a Lion, and a Shriner. They have a daughter, Agnes Elizabeth. GRAY, The Reverend and Mrs. Otis E. 252 South Hillside Avenue. Mrs. Gray's home was in London, Ontario, before her marriage her name was Miss Lucy Isabelle Southam. She went to Hellmuth College in Ontario. She is a member of the Saturday Afternoon Musical Club. The Reverend Mr. Gray attended Dwight School, St. Stephen's College, Columbia University, and the New York Theological Seminary. Miss Nancy Isabelle Gray was born in Vancouver, Washington. In the family also is Miss Barbara Ellen. GRAY, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Meredith The Hotel Lassen. Chicago was the home of Mrs. Gray, her name was Miss Anna Scott Nugent. She is a graduate of Wellesley, and belongs to the Saturday Afternoon Musical Club, and the Twentieth Century Club. Mrs. Greenfield's name before her marriage was Miss Edna Hirsh of Memphis. She is a member of the Twentieth Century and the Entre Nous Clubs. Mr. Greenfield is a Wichita Club member and of the Elks, Shrine, Wichita, and the Board of Commerce. The Greenfields have a daughter, Therese Elizabeth. GREENFIELD, Mr. Sam The Wichita Club. Mr. Greenfield is a member of the Wichita, Country, and Co- operative Clubs, and of the Board of Commerce. GRIFFITH, Lt. Col. and Mrs. Bruce 916 South Lawrence Avenue. Mrs. Griffith's name before her marriage was Miss Lola D. Paris, Madison, Indiana. She belongs to the Musicians Club and the Eastern Star, and has for her special interest music and her church choir. Lt. Col. Griffith was graduated from the Franklin and Marshall College and was a Chi Phi. He holds an A. B. and an A. M. He is president of the University Club. Colonel Griffith is a member of the Shrine and the Scottish Rites Masons, K. C. C. H. During the war he was in the 130th Field Artillery of the 39th Division. For eighteen years he was in the army, and has always been greatly interested in military work. He has also taken up public education and has been for a long time a member of the school board. Colonel Griffith also studied for the ministry and for a Ph. D. degree, and for fifteen years was pastor of the Brown Memorial Reformed Church in Wichita. Colonel and Mrs. Griffith have two sons at home: Perry, and Joe, who is an Alpha Gamma man at Fairmount. Their daughter, an Alpha Tau Sigma at Fairmount and later a student at K. U., is Mrs. Charles Barnard of Tampa, Florida. GRIFFITH, Mr. and Mrs. Tom 3903 East Central Street. Miss Mary Edith Coombe was Mrs. Griffith's name before her marriage. She is a member of the Baby Camp, of the Book Club, the Shakespeare Club, and the Wichita D. A. R. She belongs also to the League of Women Voters. Mrs. Griffith is a graduate of Leland Stanford, where she was a Kappa Kappa Gamma. She studied under Mme. Schneider in San Francisco. Mr. Griffith is a member of the Wichita and Country Clubs. Both Mr. and Mrs. Griffith play golf for diversion. GROVES, Mr. and Mrs. Frank S. Jr. 4127 East Douglas Avenue. Miss Merle O'Leary was Mrs. Groves' name before her marriage. She was in school at Lewis Academy and Fairmount College, and studied at the Power-Meyer Conservatory of Music. Mr. Groves was graduated from Yale. He is a member of the Board of Commerce. Amateur photography is his especial interest. GSELL, Dr. and Mrs. J. F. 3708 East Douglas Avenue. Mrs. Gsell's name before her marriage was Miss Ellen Bell, of Richmond, Kansas. She likes to read, and to lead an outdoor life. Dr. Gsell was graduated from the University of Chicago. He belongs to the Wichita Club and the Country Club. Miss Gladys is a Sorosis at Fairmount. Dr. and Mrs. Gsell have two other daughters and a son, Misses Irma, Evelyn, and George. GULDNER, Dr. and Mrs. Rene 1905 Park Place. Mrs. Guldner was Miss Bertha Stackman, daughter of the late Fred Stackman. She is president of the Mt. Carmel Alumnae Association, secretary of the Twentieth Century Club, and a member of the Book and the Saturday Afternoon Musical Clubs. She studied at the Conservatory in Strasbourg, France, the pipe organ and the piano. Later she took an extension course at Columbia University. In New York she was a member of the Bohemian Art Club and of the colonial Dames. Dr. Guldner was born in Phoinville, France, and studied at Paris University, and also in Berlin and Munich. He was graduated from the Strasbourg University as a Doctor of Laws. Later he studied medicine at Columbia. He is a member of the Phi Kappa Sigma Club and the Omega Club. In Wichita he is associated with the Wichita, the Lions, the Press, the Hammer and Tongs Clubs. Dr. and Mrs. Guldner have a young son, Roger Rene Jr. GUNNELL, Mrs. Mary Palmer 1022 North Topeka avenue. Mrs. Gunnell is of English ancestry, a direct descendant of Mormaduke Tilden of Great Oaks Manor, Kent county, Maryland. Before coming to Wichita her home was at Great Bend, Kansas, where she was very active in club work. She is a member of the Nation Society, Daughters of the American Revolution. She is a member of the Twentieth Century Club, Eunice Sterling chapter, D. A. R., Y. M. C. A., and First Presbyterian Church. Palmer M. Gunnell, is at present in command of one of the United States Navy Destroyers, having entered service at the beginning of the war. He was graduated from the law school of University of Illinois, is a member of the Cook county bar, and P. A. D. fraternity. Vaughn C. Gunnell entered the service of the United States at the beginning of the war but resigned from the service three years ago. He attended both Northwestern University and University of Chicago. He is a member of the Sigma Chi fraternity, a 32nd degree Mason, and Shriner. His clubs are the Detroit Athletic, Army and Navy in Washington, D. C., the American Legion, and the Wichita Country Club. HADLER, Mr. and Mrs. J. C. 809 Spaulding Avenue. Until her marriage Mrs. Hadler's name was Miss Mary Essie Downing. Mr. Hadler went to Southwestern, and is a Rotarian. HADLEY, Mr. and Mrs. W. S. 1730 University Avenue. Mrs. Hadley's name before her marriage was Miss Lillian Outland, and her home was in Beloit. Both Mr. and Mrs. Hadley are graduates of Grellette Academy. Mrs. Hadley is a Twentieth Century Club member, and also of the Liberal Arts Club. She has always been on the Board of Directors of the Y. W. C. A., and has displayed much interest in college affairs, being on the Advisory Board of the Friends University Y. W. C. A. Mr. Hadley is president of the Y. M. C. A., is on the Board of Directors of Friends' University, on the board of the American Indian Institute, and on the State Executive Committee of the Y. M. C. A. Mr. Hadley was former City Commissioner and president of the commission. He is a Rotarian and a Wichita and Country Club member. HAGAN, Dr. and Mrs. John 1411 North St. Francis Avenue. Before her marriage Mrs. Hagan's name was Miss Julia Purcell Murphy. She attended the Sisters of St. Joseph School. Dr. Hagan went to Northwestern University and Iowa State College. He is a member of the Knights of Columbus. Dr. and Mrs. Hagan have two sons, John, Jr., and Francis Martin. HAGAN, Dr. and Mrs. Martin 1224 North Market Street. Waterloo, Iowa, was the home of Mrs. Hagan before her marriage, and her name was Miss Kathryn Kelley. Dr. Hagan attended Northwestern University and Iowa State University. HAMILTON, Mr. and Mrs. George 302 Bluff Avenue. Mrs. Hamilton lived in Milford, Illinois, before her marriage, and her name was Miss Ann Russell. She attended school in New York. She is Corresponding Secretary of the Twentieth Century Club, and is a member of the Missouri Society. Just now Mrs. Hammond is interested in securing a building for the Twentieth Century Club, and she is active in the Parent-Teachers' Association. Mr. Hammond is a graduate of K. U., and is a Rotarian and a Shriner. Bond D. Hammond is in W. H. S., and is president of the Hi-Y Club. HAMSON, Mr. and Mrs. E. W. 102 North Fountain Avenue. Mrs. Hamson lived in Eureka before her marriage; her name was Miss Hazel Gregg. She attended Lexington College, and is a member of the A. C. A. She also has membership in the Saturday Afternoon Musical Club and the Wichita D. A. R. Mrs. Hamson plays golf. Mr. Hamson is a member of the Country and Shrine Clubs. Mr. and Mrs. Hamson have three children Edwin William, Jr., Gregg Gibson, and Jack Charles. HARPER, Mr. and Mrs. J. C. 1103 North Emporia Avenue. Until her marriage Mrs. Harper's name was Miss Melville Campbell. She is a Wellesley graduate, and is a member of the Women's League of Voters, and of the Baby Camp Board, and of the Wichita D. A. R. HARPER, Mrs. J. M. 1050 North Lawrence Avenue. The home of Mrs. Harper was in Milford, Illinois, until her marriage. Her name was Miss Minerva Strain. For seven years she has been on the Y. W. C. A. Board, and is Financial Secretary. Mrs. Harper's niece, Miss Lillian Good, went to Ferry Hall at Lake Forest, and is an accomplished musician. She plays the violin. HARRINGTON, Mr. and Mr. Jerome 230 North Roosevelt Avenue. Mrs. Harrington was Miss Constance Smyth before her marriage, and she went to school in Lausanne, Switzerland, and to a convent school in Washington. Mr. Harrington attended the University of Michigan, where he was a Sigma Alpha Epsilon. He is a member of the Co-operative, Wichita, and Country Clubs, and is Treasurer of the Wheat Show. HARRIS, Mr. and Mrs. Kos 801 North Emporia Avenue. Centerville, Iowa, was Mrs. Harris' home before her marriage, and her name, Miss Ida Udell. Mr. and Mrs. Harris are members of the Country Club, the Pioneer Society, and the Old Settlers' Club. Mrs. Harris belongs to the Eunice Sterling D. A. R. Miss Norma Harris is a graduate of Monticello Seminary, is a charter member of the Book Club, and a member of the D. A. R. Mr. Vermillion Harris attended Lewis Academy and later Marmaduke Military Academy. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the Wichita Club and Elks Club. HARRISON, Mr. and Mrs. J. J. 835 North Waco Avenue. Mrs. Harrison lived in Bonham, Texas. Her name was Miss Anna Thomas. Her college is Carlton College, and she is a member of the Twentieth Century Club, and of the Eastern Star. Mrs. Harrison's hobby is the cultivation of flowers. Mr. Harrison is a Mason. His delight is swimming, and he has a private boat landing on the river. Miss Grace Harrison went to Fairmount College, where she was an Alpha Tau Sigma. Later she attended Texas University, and taught French at Bon Avon School. She likes to swim and ride. HARRYMAN, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Smith 3909 East Douglas Avenue. Before her marriage Mrs. Harryman was Miss Anita Wood. She attended school at Dr. Gardner's Boarding School in New York. Her clubs are the Thursday Afternoon Cooking Club and the Woman's Suffrage Club. She is also a member of the Board of the Baby Camp. Her interests are swimming and golf. Mr. Frank Harryman was in Marston's School in Baltimore. He is a member of the Wichita, Country, Kiwanis, and Elks Clubs. Wood, Frank Smith, and Anita are the names of Mr. and Mrs. Harryman's children. HARRYMAN, Mr. and Mrs. Harry 202 Bluff Avenue. Until her marriage Mrs. Harryman was Miss Jean Weiser. She attended Fairmount. Mr. Harryman was in school in Baltimore. He is a member of the Country Club, while Mrs. Harryman is on the Baby Camp Board. Brooks and Margaret Harryman are the names of their children. HART, Mr. and Mrs. E. L. 216 Bort Avenue. Mrs. Hart (Miss Eula Freeland of Kansas) is a graduate of the Froebel Kindergarten School. She takes great interest in interior decoration, and has a collection of pictures of lovely homes. Mr. Hart is a member of the Wichita, Country and Rotary Clubs. His diversion is golf. The two-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Hart is named Joseph Edward. HART, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Mrs. Hart (Miss Mary Agnes Walker) was graduated from Rogers Hall and Smith College. She also attended Ward-Belmont. Mrs. Hart was on the Soldiers' Memorial Committee, was State President of the A. C. A., Corresponding Secretary of the Wichita D. A. R., and president of the Wichita A. C. A., Representative of the League of Women Voters on the Kansas Women's Child Welfare Committee. She is also a member of the Kansas Women's Council, and of the Board the Sedgwick County League of Women Voters. Mrs. Hart made a very comprehensive survey for the Children's Code Commission, and is very influential in Child Welfare work. She is a member of the Book Club. Mr. Hart is a member of the Wichita and Country Clubs. Mr. and Mrs. Hart have lately gone to Johnstown, Pennsylvania, to live. HARTLE, Miss Elne 206 North Thirteenth Street. Miss Hartle was in school at the Western College for Girls at Oxford, Ohio, and the Art Institute and Academy of Fine Arts in Chicago. She also attended Lewis Academy. She is a P. E. O. and a Lambda Alpha Lambda. Her chief interests are music and arts and crafts work. Miss Hartle does beautiful china painting as well as hammered silver and brass work. HARTLE, Mr. and Mrs. Earle H. 1503 East Lawrence Avenue. Mrs. Hartle lived in Irving, Illinois, until her marriage, and her name was Miss Maud Cobb. She attended Lewis Academy, and is a member of the Eastern Star, and of the Pioneer Society. Mr. Hartle is an Elk and a Shriner. Jack Hartle, Mr. and Mrs. Hartle's son, went to Koester College in Chicago, and also K.U. His fraternity is Sigma Nu. HASTY, Mr. and Mrs. L. A. 248 North Estelle Avenue. Mrs. Hasty (Miss Marjorie Lyle of Glen Elder, Kansas), is a member of the A. C. A., and of Pan-Hellenic Association. She is much interested in amateur dramatics. Mr. Hasty, who was representative for the 67th district in the State Legislature, last session, is a member of the Wichita Club. Both Mr. and Mrs. Hasty were graduated from Washburn, where Mrs. Hasty was a Kappa Alpha Theta, and Mr. Hasty a Phi Delta Theta. Mr. Hasty served as a captain during the world war and is a member of the American Legion. HASTY, Mr. and Mrs. Robert R. 304 South Rutan Avenue. Topeka was Mrs. Hasty's home until her marriage, and her name was Miss Eula Fleming. She is a member of the A. C. A., the Delphian and Pan- Hellenic. Both Mr. and Mrs. Hasty were graduated from Washburn, where Mrs. Hasty was an Alpha Phi, and Mr. Hasty a Phi Delta Theta. Mr. Hasty is a member of the American Legion. HATTON, Mr. and Mrs. Charles. H. 412 North Clifton Avenue. Before her marriage Mrs. Hatton was Miss Fode Stanley. She is on the Y. W. C. A. Board, and in the Eunice Sterling D. A. R. Her interest lies in music. Mr. Hatton is a Shriner, and a member of the Wichita and Lions Clubs. He had one year at the University of Sorbonne in Paris, then attended Colorado University, and received his degree from Southwestern College. HAUN, Mr. and Mrs. George 821 North Waco Avenue. Mrs. Haun was Miss Christine Ross before her marriage. She was graduated from National Park Seminary, and is a member of the Pioneer Society. Mr. Haun was in service overseas as first lieutenant. HAYES, Mr. and Mrs. R. R. 1639 Park Place. Miss Pearl Schell was Mrs. Hayes' name until her marriage. She received her degree from the University of Kansas and she also attended Fairmont and Chicago University. Mrs. Hayes is Critic of The Helianthus Delphian, and next year is to be a delegate to the Federation of Women's Clubs. She is a member of the Music Department of the A. C. A., and is very much interested in both vocal and piano music. Mrs. Hays is now working on her Master degree. She is a Pi Kappa Sigma. Mr. Hayes is a Mason. Lenore Maybelle, Noel Van, and Neill are the names of Mr. and Mrs. Hayes' children. HAYMAKER, Judge and Mrs. J. N. 3754 East Douglas Avenue. Mrs. Haymaker (Miss Allie King of Eminence, Kentucky) attended Eminence College. Judge Haymaker attended Hanover University. He is a member of the Wichita and Country Clubs. Mr. Healy attended St. Benedict's College. He is a member of the Press and Country Clubs, and is a Knights of Columbus. Mr. Healy has a small son, Charles Carey. Until her marriage Mrs. Heckard was Miss Bessie Blanton. She is among Wichita's artists and her musical study was received at the Chicago Musical College. During the world war Dr. Jones was seven months Camp Religious Director of Y. M. C. A. at Camp Sherman, Chillicothe, Ohio. He was six months chaplain, and six months first lieutenant, and was nine months with the forces overseas. He is a member of Kiwanis and Hammer and Tongs Clubs, and the American Legion. She is a member of the Twentieth Century, the Saturday Afternoon Musical, and the Country Clubs. She is on the Executive Board of the Home Service Section. Mrs. Keck has done much in music in Wichita. Edward Keck attended Mitchell Military Academy, and the Holbrook School for Boys, and later K. U. He is a 32nd Degree Mason. Her home was in Chicago. Mrs. Keith is a graduate of Vassar, and in Wichita is a member of the League of Women Voters, and is Secretary of the A. C. A. Mr. Keith is a graduate of Michigan University, where he was a Sigma Alpha Epsilon. He is a member of the Country, the Lions, and the Wichita Clubs. Both Mr. and Mrs. Keith play golf. Vernon Seminary and was graduated this year from the Girl's Collegiate School in Los Angeles. She is a Lambda Alpha Lambda. Her school was Friend's University. Mrs. Kemp is a member of the Twentieth Century Club and the University Women's Club. Mr. Kemp is a Rotarian and a member of the Wichita, and Country Clubs, as well as the Board of Commerce, the Library Board, and the Christian Service League.
