Hill and Engeborg Hill. He was educated at the University of Michigan, and adopted the profession of teaching. Before coming to Kansas be lived in Illinois, Iowa and Michigan. He came to Kansas in 1907, settling at Emporia, where he accepted the professorship of political science in the Kansas State Normal. In 1911 he was married to Jane Blair.
