ALBERT REYNOLDS TAYLOR, president James Milliken University, Decatur, Ill., was born at Magnolia, Ill., October 16, 1846,

 the son of John Taylor and Mary Ann Mills. He married Frances Minerva Dent, of Winona, Ill., October 16, 1873. He was 

president of the Kansas State Normal from 1882 to 1901, lecturer before chautauquas, and the author of many publications.
