My Dear Sister:



I have been effecting for some time to send you some money but it is very hard to collect here as

[...] when.



I shall send you some new in a very few days.  Give my love to mother.  She is the best person in

the world.  I want to see her very much and [....] go home sometime  I cannot tell when.  Court is

now in session and will be for some weeks.  We have had court continually from Nov.  24th. 

The docket is so large that there is no possibility of getting more than half through it this term.  I

have several important cases that I want to try this term.



I am doing a very large business now and hope to get considerable money out of it in the end. 

The litigation has increased ten fold since I came here.  The docket has now about 450 cases for

the present term.



I want to go home this winter but I am uncertain about it.  The Court will adjourn Febry.  7 and

then there will be perhaps [...] for my getting away.
