Robert D. Pope, 83, Selden, died Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2007.
He was born Jan. 27, 1924, in Decatur County, son of Peter A. and Bertha (Woerpel) Pope. He owned and operated Midway Motel and Cafe and Selden Liquor Store, before retiring in 1990.
Survivors include two sons, Robert Koerperich and Nick Koerperich, three daughters, Janice Heck, and Paula Schiltz and Gloria Goscha, a brother, Roland Pope, three sisters, Phyllis Hensley, Betty Wallace, and Joyce Weis, 14 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by his wife, Esther (Shaw) Koerperich Pope on April 25, 1991, and a great-grandson.
Burial in the Selden Cemetery.
