VETERAN U.S. ARMY WWII. Born in Sheridan County. Son of William & Mary B. (Chavey)Racette. He married Mary Ann Ribordy on Jan. 25, 1984, in Grainfield. Survivors include his wife, four sons, Bill, Kennan, Darren, & Rocky Racette, three daughters, Kathy, Wolak, Lorie Teichmer, & Donella Younkin, three brothers, Wilcid, Wilbur, & Danny Racette, six sisters, Rita Ribordy, Thelma Beckman, Harriet Schroeder, Betty Zimmeran, Phyllis Zerr, Geneva Robben, 21 grandchildren, & 10 great-grandchildren, He was preceded in death by a son, Greg Racette, in 1992. Burial in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Grinnell, in Gove County, Kansas.
