NICESCHWANDER...WILLIAMS
Dora Smith (deanae@alltel.net) 06 Sept, 2003
My grandparents and my father lived in and around Kanarado for many years. I never met my grandparents, my sisters and brothers did meet them once but I was not born yet then. They had a Soddy on the land my grandfather homesteaded there. His name was William Tell Niceschwander. My query is about one of the sisters of my dad (the one I'm name after) Dora Anna Neiceschwander Williams b. 9-10-1900 Jamestown, Cloud, KS. I have been unable to trace where she was buried. I know she died 12-23-1918 in a flu epidemic and her husband died on 9-11-1918 in that same epidemic, but all I  know about him is his name Glen Williams. Also is there an Obit for William Tell Niceschwander who died 9-22-1943 in Kanarado, Ruth (cook) Niceschwander died 7-28-1949 in Goodland, Royle (Roy) Tell Niceschwander died 11-15-1972 in Kanarado, Esther Lillain (Niceschwander) Mount, Roy Edmond Mount died 6-25-1973, Phillip Austin Niceschwander died 6-27-1962.

KANORADO

I am trying to locate the township of Kanorado, my grandfather homesteaded there in 1909 with his widowed sister.

HAMILTON
Marla Gray (maria@thegrays.org) 20 Feb, 2003
I am looking for a copy of an Obituary from 1929. All I know on my relative, Courtland  C Hamilton, is that came to the Goodland area in 1890, he died in 1929. His wife and daughter were buried in Goodland Cemetery.

WARREN....WILSON
Maggie Coughlan (MtmamaMaggie@aol.com)  10 Jan, 2003
MY great grand parents died in Sherman County. Elizabeth C. (Wilson)  Warren in 1898. I have  a copy of her obit, no parents were named. She also went by the names of Libbie and E. C. She is buried in the Goodland Cemetery. Her husband Joseph died in 1914 and is buried in the Grant cemetery. Is there any way or someone to ask to locate old church records that far back that would list her parents.

HEISZ
Michael Hooley (mnhooley@msn.com) 01 Jan, 2003
