The Brown County Genealogical Society is pleased to present this web site in an effort to assist Brown County researchers in quest of their ancestors. Our objective is to promote an interest in the hobby of genealogy research, to locate, preserve and index public and private genealogical records and make such records available to the public, to publish genealogical and historical information in a regular newsletter and other publications and to assist and support any library or museum containing genealogical material which is open to the public.
Current officers of the Brown County Genealogical Society are: President - Nancy Prawl; Vice President - Ray Thieme; Secretary - Marla Hathhorn; Treasurer - Gail Coker-Carr; and News Letter Editor - Greg Newlin; Librarian/Researcher - Lyle Hinz.
