John Eric Critser, 54, passed away June 11, 2011 at his home at Cedar Bluff Lake, in rural Trego County.

John was born January 24, 1957, the seventh child of Bob and Ruth (Nuss) Critser in WaKeeney, KS. He was baptized in the Lutheran faith March 27, 1957 in WaKeeney, Kansas. He was confirmed in the Bethlehem Lutheran Church on May 30, 1971 in WaKeeney, KS.

John graduated from Trego Community High School in 1975.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Leslie Karlynn (Erbert) Critser in 1984 and his second wife, Sandy Lee (Gardner) Critser in 1994, a sister, Pearl Mae Critser, a brother, Marion Douglas Critser, grandparents Reinhold and Mollie Nuss, Kenneth and Audrey Critser.

Left to morn his passing are his three daughters, Joni Wahlmeier and husband Michael, Emily Hale and husband James, Meagan Mansfield; parents, Bob and Ruth Critser; four sisters, Lorine Kuhn and husband Jim, Connie Herdt and Husband Ron, Nancy Nichol and husband Ron, Audrey Macke and husband Edward; eight grandchildren, Keira, Emma, Karlee, Toby, William and Brandon Wahlmeier, Chase Critser and Johnathan Hale both of WaKeeney.

Memorial Services will be held Saturday, June 18, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church, in WaKeeney, KS, with Pastor Jon Anderson and Rev. Edward Macke presiding. Inurnment will be in the WaKeeney City Cemetery. There will be no visitation, the body was cremated.
