Allen F. Dinkel, 74, Ellis, died Tuesday, July 17, 2007, at Trego County-Lemke Memorial Hospital, WaKeeney. He was born July 12, 1933, in Trego County to Nick and Leoba (Geist) Dinkel. He married Iona Kinderknecht on Nov. 15, 1954, in Ellis. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus, both of Ellis.

Survivors include his wife, of the home; three sons, Nick Dinkel, Andy Dinkel, and Edward Dinkel; five daughters, LeAnn Rineberg, Lori Leiker, Dana George, Janelle Schuster, and Marlene Dinkel, seven brothers, LaVern Dinkel, LeRoy Dinkel, Larry Dinkel, Verlin Dinkel, Pat Dinkel, and Paul Dinkel; three sisters, Mary Ann Legleiter, Florence Honas, and Bernice Klaus, eight grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Nick and Leoba Dinkel, four brothers, Mark Dinkel and Marvin Dinkel, Marvin Dinkel, infant, and Verlin Dinkel, child.

Burial was in the St. Mary Catholic Church, Cemetery, Ellis County. Submitted by Gayle M. Garrett
