Born in Warrensburg, Missouri. Daughter of Giles & Marie (Crawford) Ellis. She graduated from Trego Community High School & Fort Hays State University, [known then as Fort Hays State Teachers College] She was a country school teacher, teaching in one room school houses & all eight grades. [ She taught me in a country school]. Nadine was The Trego County Superintendant of schools for many years, retiring in April 1972. She never married but had many friends. Survivors include many nieces & nephews.
Burial in Wakeeney Cemetery.
