Richard "Dick" Murrah Groft, 79, WaKeeney, died Friday, Oct. 10, 2008, at his home. He was born March 12, 1929, in WaKeeney to Earl Murrah and Berniece Beulah (Weldon) Groft. He married Catherine Vyrleen (Young) on April 17, 1955, in Colby. He preceded her in death on June 2, 1992. He was a driver's license examiner for the state of Kansas.
Survivors include his companion, Genita Hughes, two daughters, Becky Topliff, and Teri Grove, Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Presbyterian Church; burial in WaKeeney City Cemetery.
