Anna Marie Luea, 95, Ellis, died Monday, April 6, 2009, at Trego County-Lemke Memorial Hospital, WaKeeney.

She was born March 9, 1914, in Ellis County to George and Mary (Rupp) Wiesner.

She married Paul J. Luea on June 4, 1940, in Ellis. She was a homemaker.

She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and Daughters of Isabella, both of Ellis. She enjoyed bowling, sewing, crafts and gardening.

Survivors include two sons, Paul Luea, North Platte, Neb., and Ron Luea, Honaunau, Hawaii; seven daughters, Diana Doerfler, Hutchinson, Lola Luea, Pauletta Benoit and Debra Rohr, all of Wichita, Doris Luea, Mansfield, Texas, Sharon Hillman, WaKeeney, and Laura Ellison, Ellis; 23 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband Paul, in 1995; 13 brothers; and three sisters.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at St. Mary Catholic Church, Ellis; burial in St. Mary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today and from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday, both at Keithley Funeral Chapel, 400 E. 17th, Ellis. A Daughters of Isabella rosary will be at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, followed by a vigil at 7 p.m., both at the funeral chapel. Memorials are suggested to Lutheran Home, WaKeeney, in care of the funeral chapel. Condolences can be sent to the family at www.keithley funeralchapels.com
