Jack Lamont Millard, 87, WaKeeney, died Sunday, at his home. He was born July 4, 1919, in Wichita to Floyd D. and Harriet I. (Shaw) Millard. He attended schools in Winfield and was a graduate of Arkansas City High School. He married LaVanche Morris on Dec. 17, 1939, in Hays. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was owner and operator of Western Kansas World, WaKeeney.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; a son, Jerry Millard, WaKeeney; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by a son, Jack "Monty" Lamont Millard Jr.
Burial in Wakeeney Cemetery
