Virginia Lee Orth, age 67, a longtime Woodland Park resident, passed away on March 1, 2010, in Colorado Springs, Colorado after a lengthy battle with complications from emphysema.

Virginia was born on October 28, 1942, in Collyer, Kansas, the daughter of the late Fred and Catherine (Fisher) Brungardt.

She married Kenneth K. Orth and together raised four children. She was a devoted wife and mother and cherished her family.

Virginia was employed as a Food Service Director for the Woodland Park RE-2 School District.

Virginia is survived by her husband, Ken Orth, children; Karl (Lisa) Orth, Scott (Kathleen) Orth, Jennifer Wiseman and David Orth; sisters, Mildred Giebler, Norma Meier, Katherine Munsch and Mary Lou Herrman; brothers, Larry Brungardt, Fred Brungardt Jr. and Norbert Brungardt; and grandchildren; Ryan, Sarah, Karisa and Lindsey Orth. She was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM on Friday, March 5, 2010 at Our Lady of the Woods Church, 116 S. West Street, Woodland Park, Colorado with interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery in Colorado Springs.
