Thomas P. Parke, 87, Hays, died Thursday, Sept. 13, 2007, at St. John's Health Care Center, Hays.

He was born Oct. 8, 1919, near Collyer to Peter Paul and Rose (Kvasnicka) Parke. He attended Hackberry No. 38 school in rural Trego County.

He married Ann Louise (Riedel) Parke on Oct. 20, 1947. She preceded him in death Jan. 31, 1984. He later married Vera (Bollig-Havlas) Parke on May 24, 1991. He was a farmer. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving from Feb. 11, 1941, to Oct. 11, 1945.

Survivors include his wife, of the home; two sons, Larry Parke, and Richard Parke, three daughters, Kathleen Rohr, Peggy White, and Nancy Gilmer, a brother, Curtis Parke; a sister, Helen Molinaro, 15 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Burial was in the Christ the King Cemetery, WaKeeney, Kansas, Trego County, with military honors by Fort Riley Color Guard.
