Harold Stieben, 77, Hays, died Tuesday, April 15, 2008, at Hays Medical Center.

He was born May 7, 1930, in Hays to Paul and Katherine (Herdt) Stieben. He was a 1948 graduate of Trego Community High School.
He married Martha (Scherr) Stieben on Aug. 27, 1960, in Denver. He was a U.S Navy veteran.
Survivors include two sons, Harold Sean Stieben, and Joey Paul Stieben; a daughter, Kathy Barringer; a brother, Gene Stieben; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Schmitt Funeral Home, WaKeeney; inurnment in WaKeeney City Cemetery, with military honors by U.S. Navy Color Guard, Wichita, and American Legion Riders Post No. 173, Hays.
