William A. "Bill" Wiesner, 86, Hays, died Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2007, at Hays Medical Center.

He was born March 6, 1921, in Ogallah to Peter and Josephine (Erbert) Wiesner.

He married Mary Honas on Nov. 25, 1947, in Ellis. He was a farmer. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during World War II.

He was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Prepetual Adorers, lifetime member of the Hays Veterans of Foreign Wars and lifetime member of the Ellis Knights of Columbus.

Survivors include his wife, of the home; four sons, Tom Wiesner and wife, Lisa, Ron Wiesner and wife, Faye, Henry Wiesner and wife, Michelle, and Raymond Wiesner, and wife, Annette, five daughters, Loretta Kreutzer and husband, Rich, Jackie McGann and husband, Thomas, Karen Wise and husband, James, Mary Strutt and husband, Ron, and Rose Ann Chilson and husband, Louis, four brothers, Linus Wiesner, Eugene Wiesner, Victor Wiesner, and Herman Wiesner, two sisters, Marilyn Senasac, and Alma Wiesner, 35 grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren.

A brother, Marvin Wiesner, and two sisters, Martha French and Blanche Wiesner, preceded him in death.

Burial was in the St. Mary's Cemetery, Ellis, with military honors by Hays VFW
