My grandparents Elam Sabinas BRYAN and
Martha "Mattie" Marshall ASBURY lived on
several farms (the Wagner Farm and the
Schindle Farm) in the 1930's and early
1940's near Richmond, Franklin Co., KS.
I know this as my family lived in with
them for short periods of time at both
farms. Grandma Mattie used to take me to
Sunday school and church in Richmond. She
bought a little house in Richmond and a
few months later, Grandpa moved into town
to be with her. Grandma Mattie belonged
to the Eastern Star and I believe the
Methodist or Baptist Church in Richmond.
Grandpa d. Jan 1950 in Richmond and later
Grandma moved to Garnett (to be near her
son Horace) and she d. in 1957. I was
hoping that someone could give me any
info regarding land deeds, leases, etc.
and info from the Eastern Star or church
