The child born to Louisa/Laura in Dec 1879 is living with Samuel & Elizabeth Meyers and not with William the father, and she is listed as DL McLaughlin female 6 mo listed as Other.

The 1900 census has this child living in the household of her brother Wilson & Alice McLaughlin and her name is Daisie, there is a child listed as her son - Clarence McLaughlin 3 mo

Leonard married Olive Thayer in Feb 1887 and she died March 1888 according to bible listing.
