Services for Holly Dale Miley, 82, Oskaloosa, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Snapps Cemetery, Forsyth, Mo.

Mr. Miley died Thursday, Dec. 13, 2001, at St. Francis Hospital, Topeka.

He was born Dec. 15, 1918, in Knox County, Ind., the son of Holly William and Mabel Isador (Stroud) Miley.

Mr. Miley was an Army veteran of World War II, serving from Sept. 2, 1942. to Jan. 4, 1945. He worked for the state of Indiana before relocating to Lawrence, where he worked as superintendent of buildings and grounds at Kansas University. He retired in 1982 after 19 years.

After his retirement, he moved to Missouri, where he worked at Presley's Mountain Music and Camp Ground from 1983 to 1992. He then returned to Kansas.

He married Viola "Beryl" Busse on Dec. 18, 1943, in Knox, Ind. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include two sons, William "Dale," Kansas City, Kan., and Holly "Donald," Grantville; a daughter, Patricia Fish, Kissee Mills, Mo.; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

A grandson died earlier.

Family will receive friends from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. today at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home.

The family suggests memorials in his name to Alzheimer's Assn., sent in care of the funeral home.
