I am trying to read a poorly printed copy of my grandfather's
petition for naturalization. Attached to this petition is
an affidavit of witnesses. It appears that a witnesses
signing the affidavit was a deputy sheriff of Girard, Kansas
in the years 1941. His name may have been Ernest Stevens.
Can somebody inform me if he possibly was the Deputy Sheriff
of Girard in the year 1941? If I am incorrect, can someone
enlighten me to the name of the Deputy Sheriff at that
time?
