If you recognize these surnames, I would like to make contact with you.

Joseph F. McAninch is the younger brother of my g3-grand-father, Daniel McAninch, and I would like to learn more about the family story in Mitchell County.

After the Civil War, Joseph F. McAninch married Amy Elizabeth Howerton, 18 Nov. 1968, in Hendricks County, Indiana. In 1882 they came to Mitchell County, and lived there for the rest of their lives; Joseph died 19 Dec. 1932, Beloit, Mitchell County, and is buried in Rose Valley, Mitchell County, according to the pension records.

They had a son, James D. McAninch, who married "L.S." (maiden name unknown), and both families were living in Hayes Township, Mitchell County, at the time of the 1895 Kansas state census.

Their daughter Lulu, born 1884 in Kansas (probably Mitchell County), appears in the 1932 pension records as Lulu Thurston, living in Beloit.

Thank you.
