Brothers, Charles Schweder and William Schweder came to Atchison, KS around 1860 to 1870. William had a grocery store for awhile and later was a shoe maker/manufacturer. Charles, a stone cutter, had a produce garden at the edge of Atchison in the late 1800s. Both brothers died around 1900. Their children were born and raised in the Atchison area.
