I am looking for information on my 2nd Great Grandfather William Henry Shain b. 1855 Canada who is supposed to be Native American Indian. According to a 1930's federal document there is believed to be records on him and his family within the holdings of the Drum Creek Indian Agency. William was married to my 2nd Great Grandmother Rhoda Benbow Shain in Jewell county 07 Jun 1873 they were divorced and William remarried in 1876 in Jewell County. Rhoda is supposed to have given birth to the only child conceived by William (Cora Mae Shain)somewhere around the Chetopa area. I am trying to research my Native American Ancestry but to this date have not been able to find anyone who knows where these records might have ended up, if they still exist. Any help or advise would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Cindy Olson
