Sarah was born about 1812 in Pennsylvania. I don't know her maiden name but she was first married to Charles Halderman/Halterman in Pennsylvania. Charles died in Pennsylvania, Sarah moved to Iowa and married Moses Markle who was also from Pennsylvania. They moved to Missouri where Moses died. Sarah then moved to Kansas, first to Bourbon County, then to Shawnee County. Her son, Aaron and 3 of Moses'sons died the same day in Quintrall's raid on Lawrence. Sarah had the following children with Charles Halderman: Gabriel (my ancestor), Margaret, Catherina, Aaron and Barbara. Gabriel married Mary Bauer and they moved to Oklahoma around 1899. Catherina married William Ward and and they lived in the Scott City, Bourbon County area and may have later moved to the Tecumseh area. Aaron died in Quintrall's raid (never married). Barbara died at about age 19. I don't know anything about Margaret. I would like to know Sarah's maiden name, death date (about 1898 or 1899) and burial place (believed to be Shawnee County, Kansas). I would like to know more about her childern and if there are any descendents of any besides Gabriel.
